Executive Director - Rodney Blackstock

Rodney Blackstock’s life journey exemplifies resilience, dedication, and a commitment to both personal

and professional excellence. Raised in a challenging environment, Rodney relied on his grit and

perseverance to overcome significant obstacles. His talent and hard work led him to excel in basketball,

becoming a star player in high school and later playing as a collegiate athlete. His impressive skills

opened the door to a professional basketball career, where he continued to develop his passion for

sports and leadership.

Driven by a strong commitment to education, Rodney became the first in his family to graduate from

college, earning his bachelor's degree in art design, Magna Cum Laude, from Greensboro College. His

academic achievements opened doors to a dynamic professional career, from working as an NBA agent

to founding Real Brand Consulting Group. Today, he is the CEO and owner of Country Financial

Insurance Agency, as well as the owner of Diamond Touch Home Care Agency. He also serves as the

Executive Director for the D.A.T.E Academy Foundation, supporting academic and athletic growth for

youth.

Rodney’s dedication to service extends beyond his professional accomplishments. A proud member of

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, through the Decatur Alumnae Chapter, Rodney serves on the

Kappa League Committee, the Kappa Social Action Committee and as Vice President of the Kappa Social

Committee. He is also an active member and board member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb, contributing to

initiatives that uplift and support the community.

Throughout his life and career, Rodney has exemplified humility, resilience, and the ability to uplift

those around him. As a new board member of the Atlanta Business League, he brings his wealth of

experience and unwavering dedication to achieving each of his personal and professional goals, as well

as the broader mission of empowering Atlanta’s business community.
